Ocean Drive's ‘PAINT THE TOWN GREEN’ Event

This past Friday, December 7th, Ocean Drive magazine put on one of the first ‘green’ fashion events to take place in South Florida – ‘Paint the Town Green’. It was held at the Biltmore Hotel with a special performance by Vanessa Carlton. Green Tee was there to help spread the love!

GREEN TEE / XAVIER CORTADA – Reclamation Project Tee

Last year, Xavier Cortada worked with volunteers and environmental organizations to create an eco-art installation on Miami Beach called the Reclamation Project. The idea was to hang 2,500 mangrove seedlings in clear cups along the windows of South Beach businesses – to bring awareness to the destruction of the native mangrove – and “help remind us what our community looked like before all the concrete was poured.”

In its second year, Green Tee is teaming up with Xavier to try and further this message – and help raise funds for the Miami Science Museum. We will be offering a limited edition Reclamation Project Tee Shirt that will be sold at South Beach boutiques as well as our online store.

Last night, December 3rd, we celebrated the opening of Art Basel in style with an event at the Miami Science Museum, celebrating the aforementioned eco-art intevention - and introduced the Reclamation Project Tees for the first time.

GREEN IS UNIVERSAL

Green Tee participated in Universal Studio’s “Green is Universal” event, Nov 4-10. The event was held in conjunction with all the ‘green’ television content NBC was presenting during the week (both are owned by parent company GE). We joined in to help demonstrate how one small change can make a difference – whether it be driving a hybrid car, recycling, or wearing eco-friendly fashion.
